Description

Overview

It was in 1901 in Milan, that Luigi Bezzera invented the espresso process the correct temperature and pressure needed to extract the aromatic oils resulting in the flavorsome espresso coffee. Since then, Bezzera family has been serving the coffee lovers with their superbly-designed and technologically-refined espresso machines and coffee grinders.

The Bezzera Magica is a brilliant blend of the traditional and the modern. Its powerful heat exchanger boiler system can brew, steam and generate hot water at the same time. The machine includes a 2 liter copper boiler, automatic stopping of electric resistances in case of lack of water in the boiler, a lever action E61 group head, large water reservoir and built-in cup warmer. The Magica also features an extraction pressure gauge and joystick style hot water and steam wands that can be turned on or off instantly.

For it's latest version, Bezzera has added a PID temperature control system to the Magica making it possible not only to maintain precise temperature stability but also to adjust temperature as demanded by various specialty coffees for a fantastic extraction.

FEATURES

E-61 Grouphead

The Magica has the very famous E61 group head which has been the golden standard for high end espresso machines for over 50 years. An E61 group head is heated using a thermosyphon system that circulates water through the group head keeping it very hot. The grouphead is controlled by raising the lever that activates the vibration pump and opens the group solenoid valve to deliver coffee. Once the desired quantity is reached, lower the lever to stop brewing.

Heat-Exchanging Boiler

The Bezzera Magica is fitted with a 2 liter copper boiler with heat exchanger system. That means you can steam milk and extract espresso at the same time. High 1350-watt heating element is controlled by a thermostat to maintain a constant temperature.

Professional Gauges

The Bezzera Magica has two manometers; first the standard boiler pressure indicator which is on all heat exchanger machines but it also has a second extraction manometer that measures the extraction pressure. This is a very handy tool when extracting espresso as it provides a window into the extraction.

Vibratory Pump

The Bezzera Magica boasts a powerful vibratory pump rated at 15 BAR of pressure to extract maximum flavor from the coffee beans.

3-Way Solenoid Valve

The three-way solenoid valve relieves pressure and sucks out the water in the grouphead when you've finished extracting your espresso. This means the portafilter (handle) can immediately be removed, re-filled with coffee and replaced to quickly start with next brew cycle.

Steam and Hot Water Wands

A multi-directional steam wand has an excellent range of motion for ease of use. It creates fine and creamy milk foam effortlessly for your cappuccino and latte. Hot water wand is also on a ball joint making it easy to pour water into a cup.

Joystick Style Knobs

This is the latest trend in the industry. Instead of using taps that have to be turned on and off the Magica features the instant on/instant off Joy Stick style wands. These are also nice because they cannot be over tightened.

Automatic Water Refill

The boiler of the Bezzera Magica comes with an automatic water-refill feature that allows uninterrupted supply of scrumptious espresso, americano, cappuccino, caffe latte and much more.

PID

The Magica now comes standard with a PID device. This digital controller allows you to change the boiler temperature while greatly improving overall temperature stability whilst also eliminating the need for the added step of a cooling flush usually demanded by heat exchanger espresso machines. A PID comes in handy when brewing specialty coffees to bring out their flavour by testing at various temperatures.

Accessories

The Bezzera Magica comes with a detailed instruction manual, dual spout portafilter, single spout portafilter, 2-cup filter basket, 1-cup filter basket, grouphead cleaning brush, blind filter basket and plastic tamper.
